This policy explains what personal data Portuguesing collects, why, and how it is used. Portuguesing is operated by Laylla Tearle (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions, email us at hello@portuguesing.com.
What we collect and why
Free trial requests
When you submit the free trial form on the Lessons page, we collect your name, email address, language level, and learning goals. We use this information solely to arrange your trial lesson and to follow up with available times. We do not add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.
Store purchases
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. After a successful purchase, we receive your name and email address in order to deliver your digital download.
Contact
If you contact us directly by email, we will store your message in order to respond to you. We will not share it with third parties.
How we store your data
Trial enquiries are received by email and stored in our email inbox. Purchase records are held in Stripe. Emails we send you — trial follow-ups and purchase download links — are delivered through Resend, our email delivery provider, which processes your name and email address for that purpose. We do not use a separate customer database. This site is hosted on Vercel, whose infrastructure processes requests in order to serve pages to you.
Cookies, analytics and browser storage
This site does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. Vercel may collect anonymised, aggregated traffic data as part of its hosting service. Your basket is saved in your browser’s local storage so it’s still there when you return — this data never leaves your device and is not used for tracking.
Sharing your data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as necessary to process payments (Stripe), send you email (Resend), and deliver this website (Vercel).
Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or request a transfer of its processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@portuguesing.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados).

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If we make significant changes, we will note them here.
